Meet up safely
- Meet in a busy public place. Many police stations have a marked meetup spot.
- Bring a friend, or tell someone where you are going.
- Meet in daylight when you can.
- Check the item before you hand over any money.
- Never send a deposit or gift card before you meet. Real sellers don’t ask for one.
- Report any listing or person that feels wrong.
Marketplace rules
- Be honest. Use real photos and describe the item and its condition accurately.
- Don’t post weapons, ammunition, illegal drugs, stolen goods, counterfeit items, or anything else that is illegal to sell.
- No payments happen in this app. Never ask someone to send money, a deposit, or a gift card before you meet.
- Treat people with respect. Harassment and threats are not allowed.
- Listings and accounts that break these rules can be removed without notice.
OBM Marketplace only connects buyers and sellers. Every sale is between the two of you, and you are responsible for checking the item and following the law.
